During the 2016 election, The Oratory Laboratory was tired of hearing speeches by politicians about Americans. So we hit the streets of New York to ask everyday Americans what they would say if they could speak for themselves. During this project, I was deeply involved with the creative direction of the project, from conception to editing the final video (seen below). And of course, I wrote a lot of speeches.
Our #FreeSpeech video ended up on Hilary Clinton's campaign website, as well as caught the eye of cast members from the Broadway sensation, Hamilton. The speech I wrote for cast member Thayne Jasperson has been viewed almost 60,000 times via YouTube and Instagram.
